With 13 fresh deaths being reported in the last 24 hours in the State, the total death toll due to the Covid-19 rose to 1,181 in Odisha on Wednesday.
According to the Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Department, the fresh fatalities have been reported from Mayurbhanj, Khurda, Angul, Balasore, Bolangir and Nuapada districts.
“Regret to inform of the demise of thirteen Covid positive patients while under treatment in hospitals,” tweeted the H&FW Department this morning.
The deceased included seven females and six males. While four patients died in Mayurbhanj district, three died in Puri, two died in Khurdha and one each died in Angul, Balasore, Bolangir and Nuapada districts, according to the department.
The deceased are 53-year old female of Balasore district, 44-year old male of Bhubaneswar, 48-year old male of Puri district was also suffering from hypothyroidism, diabetes, 52-year old male of Angul was also suffering from hypertension, hypothyroidism, 47-year old female of Bhubaneswar was also suffering from diabetes & CAD, 66-year old female of Puri district was also suffering from diabetes, 45-year old male of Mayurbhanj district, 60-year old male of Mayurbhanj district was also suffering from Hypertension, 68-year old female of Puri district was also suffering from Diabetes & Hypertension, 52-year old male of Nuapada district, 65-year old female of Mayurbhanj district was also suffering from Diabetes & CKD, 23-year old female of Balangir district and 75-year old female of Mayurbhanj district.
