Deputy Secretary to Government, Health and Family Welfare Department, Rajesh Kumar Agarwala on Monday has written to the DMRT and Director, Health Services regarding the State Government’s decision.
“On priority basis, the Government has been pleased to designate the Aditya Ashwini COVID-19 Hospital for the treatment of doctors and COVID-19 warriors,” the letter stated.
Though the doctors and healthcare workers have been on the frontline in the battle against Covid-19 pandemic, working day in and out, they were left on their own when they get infected and need medical treatment.
Now, with the Government designating Aditya Ashwini Covid-19 Hospital for the treatment of doctors and COVID19 warriors, it could be a boon for them.
Not only the MBBS doctors, the AYUSH doctors have also, been deployed at Covid facilities to treat the virus infected patients.
Sources said many States in the country like West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh have already set up dedicated Covid hospitals for doctors and paramedics.
