Of these fresh cases, 502 cases were detected from among quarantined people and the rest 366 found as local contacts.
According to the data furnished on its Twitter account of the I&PR Department, the new cases were detected from all the 30 districts of the State and also from the State pool.
Among the districts, with 102 new cases Khurda remained at the top follow by Sundargarh 82, Cuttack (65), and Balasore (52).
Besides, 20 cases were reported from the State pool.
The State also recorded 1,315 new recoveries in the last 24 hours taking the total cured tally to 3,00,474. The number of active cases now stood at 8,818. So far, 5,37,6393 samples have been tested for the virus in the State.
