According to a statement from the PMO, the Prime Minister will first land in Bhubaneswar, where he will hold a review meeting before undertaking an aerial survey of the cyclone-affected areas.
PM Modi will undertake an aerial survey in Odisha’s Balasore, Bhadrak and West Bengal's Purba Medinipur. He will then hold a review meeting in West Bengal.
On Thursday, PM Modi reviewed the impact of Cyclone Yaas at a meeting during which he asked the Central and States agencies to ensure that normal life is restored in the affected areas at the earliest.
Cyclone Yaas made landfall at around 9.15 am on Wednesday near Dhamra port in Odisha. The storm caused massive damage to roads, houses and farmlands in both the States.
