According to information, Dhaneshwar Gua along with a friend, both residents of Genteisahi village of Baunshanali gram panchayat under the Jashipur police station had gone to Bhanjakia on April 4 to buy asbestos worth of Rs 30,000.
As Dhaneshwar didn’t return home by night, his wife Subuni Gua searched for him at various places but could not find him. She then lodged a complaint with the Jashipur police station on April 6. Besides, she also met Mayurbhanj SP and briefed him about his missing husband’s case on April 11.
Yesterday, some fishermen saw the body of Dhaneshwar lying under a rock in the Ghagar canal. On being informed by them, the Jashipur police along with a scientific team and a sniffer dog rushed to the spot and recovered the body. Investigation is still underway.
