Murmu would submit nomination papers before the Secretary General of the Rajya Sabha.
Sources said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will sign the papers as the first proposer to Murmu’s candidature. While Amit Shah and other top leader of the BJP will remain present, two Odisha Ministers, Jagannath Saraka and Tukuni Sahu, will attend the event.
Notably, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has already announced to support the candidature of Murmu in the public. However, the Odisha Congress has refused to provide support.
