Pradhan took to twitter route to express his pain on the passing away of champion pugilist.
The Union Minister said that Dingko inspired a generation of youth, including in the north-east, to choose sports as a career.

Manipur-based former bantamweight boxer Dingko died today after a long battle with liver cancer. He was 42 and had been fighting the disease since 2017.
Last year, the champion boxer had tested positive for Covid-19. However, he fought through and recovered from the deadly virus.
He was bestowed the Arjuna award in 1998 and was presented the nation's fourth-highest civilian honour, Padma Shri, in 2013.
