The Union Minister reportedly suggested the officials to move ahead with a consumer-centric approach in strengthening the oil and gas infrastructure, including in the expansion of LPG infrastructure, CGD network, Ethanol Blended Petrol programme, Compressed-biogas and alternate energy portfolio.
Pradhan also encouraged the oil marketing companies to work aggressively towards monetising gas from Municipal Solid Waste generated in Varanasi to give impetus to waste-to-energy creation.
The move will help solve the challenges of waste management, generate jobs and also lead to a greener Varanasi, said the Minister.
