Bhubaneswar, Feb 18: As many as 88 Covid patients recovered in Odisha on Thursday, taking the number of persons cured of the virus in the State to 3,33,888, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department.
According to the data furnished by the department in its Twitter account, the highest 15 patients recovered in Khordha district, followed by thirteen in Cuttack, 11 in Sundargarh, eight in Angul, six in Puri, five each in Bargarh, Bhadrak, Keonjhar and Nuapada, four each in Deogarh and Jharsuguda, three each in Baleswar, Kandhamal and Sambalpur and one each recovered in Bolangir, Ganjam, Kendrapara, Koraput, Mayurbhanj and Sonepur district.
Besides, four recoveries were reported from the State Pool.
Notably, the State witnessed death of a Covid 19-infected person during the last 24 hours and, thus, the number of Covid deaths increased to 1,913.
Similarly, the State’s Covid positive tally rose to 3,36,460 after 63 new positive cases were detected in the last 24 hours. Out of 63 new cases, 39 were detected from among quarantined persons and 24 detected as local contacts.
