Brahmapur, Feb 10: Another shameful incident of minor girl gang-rape has been reported in the State. This time, the incident has occurred in a village under Brahmapur Sadar police station area in Ganjam district.
According to information, three boys, who are also minors, allegedly sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl of their village taking advantage of her loneliness in the house. He parents were away at workplaces.
Acting on a complaint by the girl’s parents, the Sadar police have detained the minor boys and are interrogating them.
The girl has been sent for medical examination.
“Police have detained three boys on charges of sexually assaulting a girl. After interrogation, they will be forwarded to court,” said SP Pinak Mishra.
