Bhubaneswar, Mar 29: As many as 118 Covid 19 patients recovered in Odisha on Monday, taking the number of persons cured of the virus in the State to 3,36,809, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department.
According to the data furnished by the department in its Twitter account, the highest 26 patients recovered in Cuttack district, followed by 16 in Sundargarh, 14 in Khordha, 10 in Sambalpur, eight in Mayurbhanj, six in Nuapada, five in Ganjam, four each in Baleswar and Koraput, three each recovered in Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Jajapur and Puri, two each in Bolangir, Jharsuguda and Kendrapara and one each recovered in Anugul, Bargarh, Kalahandi and Rayagada district.
Besides, three recoveries were reported from the State Pool.
Notably, the State witnessed death of a person due to Covid 19 infection during the last 24 hours and, thus, the number of Covid rose to 1,921.
However, the State’s Covid positive tally rose to 3,40,402 after 208 new positive cases were detected in the last 24 hours. Out of 208 new cases, 122 were detected from among quarantined persons and 86 detected as local contacts.
