Bargarh, June 7: A speeding tractor allegedly crushed a 14-year-old boy to death in a village in Odisha’s Bargarh district, family sources said on Monday.
The victim has been identified as Arun Behera of Khirapali village under Attabira Police station limits in the district.
As per reports, Arun was working as a daily wage labourer under a fellow villager Narsingh Kama. On Satuday night, Kama’s tractor was engaged in transporting paddy from his farmland. The tractor allegedly ran over Arun, leaving him critically injured.
Kama took Arun to a private hospital in Bargarh for his treatment. Later, Arun was shifted to another private hospital in Burla for further treatment, where the doctors declared him “brought dead”.
Subsequently, Kama handed over the body of Arun to his family members.
Arun’s family members alleged that autopsy of body was not conducted. They also alleged that Kama came with a wood-laden vehicle and buried the body in a hurry with the help of some people.
