Bhubaneswar, Mar 31: As many as 161 Covid 19 patients recovered in Odisha on Wednesday, taking the number of persons cured of the virus in the State to 3,37,091, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department.
According to the data furnished by the department in its Twitter account, the highest 35 patients recovered in Khordha district, followed by 25 in Cuttack, 22 in Nuapada, 12 in Sundargarh, 11 in Mayurbhanj, six in Ganjam, four each in Baleswar, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur and Rayagada, three each in Anugul, Bargarh, Bolangir and 3 Deogarh, two each in Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Koraput, Puri and Sonepur and one each recoevered in Kendrapara, Keonjhar, Nabarangpur and Sambalpur.
Besides, eight recoveries were reported from the State Pool.
Notably, the State did not witness any death due to Covid 19 infection during the last 24 hours and, thus, the number of Covid stood at 1,921 as before.
However, the State’s Covid positive tally rose to 3,40,917 after 297 new positive cases were detected in the last 24 hours. Out of 297 new cases, 174 were detected from among quarantined persons and 123detected as local contacts.
