Bhubaneswar, Jan 12: As many as 181 Covid patients recovered in Odisha on Tuesday, taking the number of persons cured of the virus in the State to 3,28,452, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department.
According to the data furnished by the department in its Twitter account, the highest number of 34 Covid patients recovered in Angul district, followed by 26 in Sundargarh, 16 in Sambalpur, 14 in Bolangir, 11 in Jajpur, 10 in Khordha, nine in Kendrapara, eight in Bargarh, six each in Cuttack and Puri, five each in Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj, four each in Deogarh, Jagatsinghpur and Jharsuguda, three in Balasore, Gajapati and Kalahandi, two each in Boudh and Nuapada and one each recovered in Ganjam, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur and Sonepur districts.
Besides, two recoveries were reported from the State pool.
Notably, the State witnessed death of two persons during the last 24 hours. Thus, the number of Covid deaths rose to 1,894 on Tuesday.
Similarly, the State’s Covid positive tally rose to 3,32,331 after 225 new positive cases were detected in the last 24 hours. Out of 225 new cases, 131 were detected from among quarantined persons and the rest 94 detected as local contacts.
