Rayagada, Dec 10: Expediting the investigation process in Rayagada gemstone smuggling case, police have arrested two more persons on Thursday.
The held duo has been identified as Radhamohan Mahana of Boudh and Subash Ratnalu of Muniguda of Rayagada districts.
Radhamohan is a teacher by profession, said police.
Notably, on December 7, a five-member team of the Special Task Force (STF) of Crime Branch accompanied by Rayagada Town Police raided a house in the Jagannath Complex in the city and seized gemstones weighing 151 kg worth over Rs 1 Cr from the dickey of a car (Registration Number-OD 18G 3355).
During the raid the sleuths also detained one person namely Jeetendra Kumar Behera of Bijabandali village.
Based on the information provided by Jeetendra during his interrogation, police have made more arrests today.
