The data tweeted by the department this morning showed that 132 infections were detected from among the quarantined people while the rest 94 got infected from local contacts.
Among the districts, Khurda reported highest 104 cases, followed by Sundargarh 19, Cuttack 14, Puri,Kalahandi and Sambalpur seven each, Balangir, Jagatsinghpur and Jajpur five each, Bargarh, Koraput and Nuapada four each, Nayagarh three, Bhadrak, Boudh, Mayurbhanj, Rayagada and Sonepur two each and Balasore, Jharsuguda, Kandhamal, Kendrapada and Nabarangpur one each.
Besides, 23 cases were reported from the State pool. With new infections, the State’s tally rose to 1328070.
In the last 24 hours, 228 patients recovered. With this, the total recoveries stood at 1317042. Active cases stood at 1,797.
