Bhubaneswar, Apr 6: As many as 266 Covid 19 patients recovered in Odisha on Tuesday, taking the number of persons cured of the virus in the State to 3,38,416, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department.
According to the data furnished by the department in its Twitter account, the highest 72 patients recovered in Khordha district, followed by 30 in Nuapada, 16 in Cuttack, 15 in Bargarh, 14 each in Angul and Sundargarh, 12 in Kalahandi, 10 in Sambalpur, nine in Mayurbhanj, eight in Jajpur, seven in Ganjam, six each in Baleswar and Bhadrak, five each in Nabarangpur and Puri, four each in Bolangir, Keonjhar and Sonepur, three in Rayagada, two each in Jagatsinghpur and Nayagarh and one each recovered in Dhenkanal and Jharsuguda district.
Besides, 16 recoveries were reported from the State Pool.
Notably, the State did not witness any death due to Covid 19 infection during the last 24 hours and, thus, the number of Covid stood at 1,922 as before.
However, the State’s Covid positive tally rose to 3,43,856 after 588 new positive cases were detected in the last 24 hours. Out of 588 new cases, 342 were detected from among quarantined persons and 246 detected as local contacts.
