Bhubaneswar, Jan 4: As many as 298 Covid patients recovered in Odisha on Monday, taking the number of persons cured of the virus in the State to 3,26,507, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department.
According to the data furnished by the department in its Twitter account, the highest number of 49 Covid patients recovered in Sundargarh district, followed by 48 in Angul, 24 in Cuttack, 16 in Kendrapara, 15 each in Balasore and Keonjhar, 14 in Jharsuguda, 13 in Jajpur, 12 each in Khordha and Mayurbhanj, 10 each in Bargarh and Bolangir, eight in Sambalpur, six each in Deogarh and Ganjam, five each in Bhadrak and Jagatsinghpur, four in Nuapada, three in Rayagada, two each in Boudh, Kalhandi, Koraput and Nayagarh and one recovered in Malkangiri district.
Besides, eight recoveries were reported from the State pool.
Notably, the State recorded two deaths during the last 24 hours and, thus, the number of Covid deaths stood at 1,885 on Modnay.
Similarly, the State’s Covid positive tally rose to 3,30,492 after 183 new positive cases were detected in the last 24 hours. Out of 183 new cases, 106 were detected from among quarantined persons and the rest 77 detected as local contacts.
