According to the data furnished by the department in its Twitter account, the highest 629 patients recovered in Sundargarh, followed by 441 in Khordha, 339 in Nuapada, 259 in Kalahandi, 209 in Cuttack, 172 in Nabarangpur, 151 in Sambalpur, 137 in Bargarh, 132 in Bolangir, 131 in Keonjhar, 114 in Puri, 106 in Jharsuguda, 71 in Mayurbhanj, 66 in Baleswar, 56 in Ganjam, 44 in Anugul, 43 in Jajpur, 37 in Rayagada, 33 each in Bhadrak and Gajapati, 23 in Jagatsinghpur, 21 each in Dhenkanal and Nayagarh, 19 in Sonepur, 16 in Kandhamal, 15 each in Deogarh and Malkangiri, Boudh and Koraput and 11 recovered in Kendrapara.
Besides, 94 recoveries were reported from the State Pool.
Notably, the State witnessed deaths of eight persons due to Covid 19 infection during the last 24 hours and, thus, the number of Covid deaths rose to 1,981.
However, the State’s Covid positive tally rose 4,01,341 after 6,647 new positive cases were detected in the last 24 hours. Out of 6,647 new cases, 3,855 were detected from among quarantined persons and 2,792 detected as local contacts.
