The three-time MLA attended the examination in an isolation room at Surada Girls’ High School in Ganjam district. He was allowed to write answers in an isolation room as he produced a medical certificate, claiming illness, last evening, according to information.
His move has become a matter of discussion in different circles as he had earlier been landed in controversies for filing affidavits of passing Class X and Class IX examinations along with election nominations in 2009 and 2014, respectively.
Even a case had been filed against him in a court in this regard in 2015.
It may be mentioned here that Swain had recently organised a grand feast on the occasion of his father’s death anniversary during which Covid19 safety guidelines were severely flouted.
According to allegations, people more than the restricted number, as set by the Government to check the spread of Covid19 infection, took the feast by sitting close to each other. Norms of wearing masks and social distancing were violated at the feast.
