The deceased persons belonged to one each from Balangir, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi and Sambalpur districts, it added.
In a tweet, the Health Department said, “Regret to inform the demise of four numbers of Covid positive patients while under treatment in hospitals.
1. A 62 years old male of Balangir district who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus.
2. A 50 years old male of Jharsuguda district who was also suffering from Hypertension & Diabetes Mellitus.
3. A 60 years old female of Kalahandi district who was also suffering from Hypertension.
4. A 38-year-old male of Sambalpur district who was also suffering from Tuberculosis.”
With this, the Covid death toll of the State increased to 1942.
Odisha today reported as many as 3,144 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the total number of Coronavirus cases of the State to 3,64,594.
Sundargarh district recorded the maximum number of fresh cases at 523, followed by Khordha at 497.
