Bhubaneswar, Dec 12: As many as 405 Covid patients recovered in Odisha on Saturday, taking the number of persons cured of the virus in the State to 3,18,683, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department.
According to the data furnished by the department in its Twitter account, the highest number of 55 Covid patients recovered in Sundargarh district, followed by 52 in Khordha, 34 in Angul, 29 in Cuttack, 27 in Bolangir, 23 in Bargarh, 21 in Jajpur, 19 in Puri, 17 in Mayurbhanj, 14 in Jagatsinghpur, 12 in Jharsuguda, 11 in Deogarh, nine each in Balasore, Kendrapara and Nuapada, eight each in Bhadrak, Kalahandi and Sambalpur, six each in Keonjhar and Nayagarh, four in Ganjam, three each in Koraput, Malkangiri and Nawarangpur, one each if Dhenkanal, Rayagada and Sonpur district and 12 recovered from the State pool.
Notably, the State recorded four deaths during the last 24 hours and, thus, the number of Covid deaths stood at 1,802 at 12.23 pm on Saturday.
Similarly, the State’s Covid positive tally was 3,23,364 after 335 new positive cases were detected in the last 24 hours. Out of 335 new cases, 193 were detected from among quarantined persons and the rest 142 found as local contacts.
