According to the data furnished by the department in its Twitter account, the highest 647 patients recovered from Angul, followed by 521 from Sundargarh, 498 from Khordha, 445 from Nuapada, 201 from Jharsuguda, 177 from Keonjhar, 152 from Cuttack, 148 each from Bargarh and Sambalpur, 143 from Puri, 126 from Ganjam, 119 from Mayurbhanj, 93 from Bolangir, 87 from Nabarangpur, 81 from Baleswar, 61 from Jajapur, 56 from Kalahandi, 52 from Rayagada, 50 from Bhadrak, 50 from Jagatsinghpur, 45 each from Gajapati and Nayagarh, 39 from Dhenkanal, 28 from Deogarh, 21 from Koraput, 15 each from Kandhamal and Kendrapara, four from Malkangiri and three patients recovered from Sonepur district.
Besides, 110 recoveries were reported from the State Pool.
Notably, the State witnessed deaths of nine persons due to Covid 19 infection during the last 24 hours and, thus, the number of Covid deaths rose to 1,997.
However, the State’s Covid positive tally rose 4,14,056 after 6,559 new positive cases were detected in the last 24 hours. Out of the new cases, 3,827 were detected from among quarantined persons and 2,772 detected as local contacts.
