Among the fresh cases, 12 were reported from quarantine centres while 31 contracted the virus locally.
The civic body also said that 57 patients were discharged during the same period from COVID-19 hospitals here taking the recovered tally to 29,660.
With the addition of new patients, the number of active cases in this city has gone up to 576. So far 29,660 patients have recovered from the disease while the capital city's death toll stands at 204.
The 27 local contact cases were reported from Jaydev Vihar, Jharpada, Kalinga Nagar, Nayapalli, Niladri Vihar, Old Town, Patia, Sailashree Vihar, Soubhagya Nagar, Tankapani Road, Saheed Nagar and Pokhariput areas.
On November 18, a review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Women and Child Development Principal Secretary-cum-COVID Observer for Bhubaneswar Anu Garg with all concerned officials of BMC to take stock of the COVID19 situation in the city.
