Bhubaneswar, Dec 9: As many as 442 Covid patients recovered in Odisha on Monday, taking the number of persons cured of the virus in the State to 3,17,412, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department.
According to the data furnished by the department in its Twitter account, the highest number of 53 Covid patients recovered in Angul district followed by 43 in Sundargarh, 33 each in Khurda and Rayagada, 30 in Mayurbhanj, 29 in Jajpur, 28 in Keonhar, 25 in Cuttack, 19 each in Kendrapada and Nuapada, 18 in Baleswar, 16 in Sambalpur, 13 each in Jagatsinghpur and Kalahandi and 11 in Puri district. All other districts recorded recoveries in single-digit numbers.
Notably, the State recorded five deaths during the last 24 hours and, thus, the number of Covid deaths stood at 1,789 12.25 pm on Wednesday.
Similarly, the State’s Covid positive tally was 3,22, 299 after 386 new positive cases were detected in the last 24 hours. Out of 386 new cases, 223 were detected from among quarantined persons and the rest 163 found as local contacts.
