Bhubaneswar, Dec 10: As many as 442 Covid patients recovered in Odisha on Monday, taking the number of persons cured of the virus in the State to 3,17,870, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department.
According to the data furnished by the department in its Twitter account, the highest number of 48 Covid patients recovered in Angul district, followed by 44 in Bolangir, 41 in Khordha, 37 in Sundargarh, 35 in Mayurbhanj, 24 each in Cuttack and Nuapada, 22 in Jagatsinghpur, 19 each in Jajpur and Puri, 14 each in Balasore, Keonjhar and Sambalpur, 12 in Kendrapada and 11 in Koraput. All other districts recorded recoveries in single-digit numbers.
Notably, the State recorded five deaths during the last 24 hours and, thus, the number of Covid deaths stood at 1,794 11.11am on Wednesday.
Similarly, the State’s Covid positive tally was 3,22,642 after 343 new positive cases were detected in the last 24 hours. Out of 343 new cases, 197 were detected from among quarantined persons and the rest 146 found as local contacts.
