Bhubaneswar, Apr 6: To make tourism sector more vibrant, the Odisha Government has planned to set up ropeways at five different places of tourism importance in the State.
Tourism and Culture Minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahy told this to reporters here on Tuesday. The rope will come up at Kapilas in Dhenkanal district, Nrusinganath-Harishankar on Bargarh-Bolangir border, Dhauli Hill on Bhubaneswar outskirts, Bhimkund in Mayurbhanj district and Panchalingeswar in Balasore district, the Minister said.
He said the ropeways will be completed and operative in 14 to 16 months’ time.
Panigrahy also stated that talks are being held at Government level for setting up a ropeway between Puri and Konark.
