Bhubaneswar, Feb 21: As many as 54 Covid patients recovered in Odisha on Sunday, taking the number of persons cured of the virus in the State to 3,34,107, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department.
According to the data furnished by the department in its Twitter account, the highest 10 patients recovered in Sundargarh district, followed by eight in Angul, seven in Khordha, six each in Baleswar and Puri, four in Rayagada, two each in Bolangir, Jharsuguda, Malkangiri and Mayurbhanj and one patient each recovered in Bargarh, Bhadrak, Ganjam and Kalahandi.
Besides, one recovery was reported from the State Pool.
The State didn’t witness any death due to Covid 19 infection during the last 24 hours and, thus, the number of Covid deaths stood at 1,914 as before.
However, the State’s Covid positive tally rose to 3,36,636 after 54 new positive cases were detected in the last 24 hours. Out of 54 new cases, 34 were detected from among quarantined persons and 24 detected as local contacts.
