Bhubaneswar, Mar 18: As many as 66 Covid 19 patients recovered in Odisha on Thursday, taking the number of persons cured of the virus in the State to 3,35,923, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department.
According to the data furnished by the department in its Twitter account, the highest 12 patients recovered in Khurda district, followed by eight each in Cuttack, Jajpur and Mayurbhanj, seven each in Angul and Sundargarh, four in Deogarh, two each in Bargarh, Ganjam, Jharsuguda, Puri and Sambalpur and one patient recovered in Rayagada district.
Besides, one recovery was reported from the State Pool.
Notably, the State didn’t witness any death due to Covid 19 infection during the last 24 hours and, thus, the number of Covid deaths stood at 1,918 as before.
However, the State’s Covid positive tally rose to 3,38,489 after 84 new positive cases were detected in the last 24 hours. Out of 84 new cases, 49 were detected from among quarantined persons and 35 detected as local contacts.
