Bhubaneswar, Mar 4: As many as 71 Covid patients recovered in Odisha on Thursday, taking the number of persons cured of the virus in the State to 3,34,838, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department.
According to the data furnished by the department in its Twitter account, the highest 11 patients recovered in Khordha district, followed by eight each in Bargarh and Sambalpur, seven in Cuttack, six in Bolangir, five in Sundargarh, four each in Deogarh and Jajapur, three each in Jharsuguda and Mayurbhanj, two each in Baleswar and Rayagada and one each recovered in Angul, Bhadrak, Boudh, Kendrapara, Puri and Sonepur district.
Besides, two recoveries were reported from the State Pool.
Notably, the State didn’t witness any death due to Covid 19 infection during the last 24 hours and, thus, the number of Covid deaths stood at 1,917 as before.
However, the State’s Covid positive tally rose to 3,37,529 after 81 new positive cases were detected in the last 24 hours. Out of 81 new cases, 49 were detected from among quarantined persons and 32 detected as local contacts.
