Bhubaneswar, Feb 20: As many as 73 Covid patients recovered in Odisha on Saturday, taking the number of persons cured of the virus in the State to 3,34,053, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department.
According to the data furnished by the department in its Twitter account, the highest 20 patients recovered in Sundargarh district, followed by 11 in Cuttack, nine in Puri, seven each in Angul and Sambalpur, four each in Bargarh and Mayurbhanj, two each in Baleswar, Kalahandi, Khordha and Nuapada and one patient each recovered in Deogarh, Ganjam and Jharsuguda district.
The State didn’t witness any death due to Covid 19 infection during the last 24 hours and, thus, the number of Covid deaths stood at 1,914 as before.
However, the State’s Covid positive tally rose to 3,36,578 after 65 ew positive cases were detected in the last 24 hours. Out of 65 new cases, 38 were detected from among quarantined persons and 27 detected as local contacts.
