The held peddler duo has been identified as Sheikh Akbar and Mohammad Rafi of Bamuni village of Koraput district.
A vehicle inspection was underway in front of the Maidalpur Police Station last night when cops intercepted a black Honda Activa scooter on suspicion. During frisk a ganja consignment filled in two gunny bags were found from the vehicle for which the rider duo failed to produce the necessary permit.
After taking the accused duo into custody police seized the ganja along with the scooter.
The held peddlers have been forwarded to court and further investigation have been initiated in the case, said police.
