Bhubaneswar, Feb 8: As many as 83 Covid patients recovered in Odisha on Monday, taking the number of persons cured of the virus in the State to 3,33,031, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department.
According to the data furnished by the department in its Twitter account, the highest 12 patients recovered Sundargarh district, followed by nine each in Baleswar and Cuttack, eight in Bargarh, seven each in Puri and Sambalpur, six in Jajapur, five in Mayurbhanj, three each in Kendrapara, Khordha, Nuapada and Rayagada, two each in Gajapati and Jagatsinghpur and one each recovered in Bolangir, Ganjam, Jharsuguda and Kalahandi district.
Notably, the State witnessed death of a person due to Covid infection during the last 24 hours and, thus, the number of Covid deaths rose to 1,910 on Modnay.
Similarly, the State’s Covid positive tally rose to 3,35,692 after 72 new positive cases were detected in the last 24 hours. Out of 72 new cases, 44 were detected from among quarantined persons and 28 detected as local contacts.
