Bhubaneswar, Feb 17: As many as 88 Covid patients recovered in Odisha on Wednesday, taking the number of persons cured of the virus in the State to 3,33,788, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department.
According to the data furnished by the department in its Twitter account, the highest 21 patients recovered in Sundargarh district, followed by seven in Jajpur, six each in Baleswar, Bargarh, Keonjhar and Puri, five each in Khordha and Mayurbhanj, four in Cuttack, three in Boudh, two each in Bolangir, Jagatsinghpur, Nuapada, Rayagada and Samalpur and one each recovered in Anugul, Bhadrak, Deogarh, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Jharsuguda, Koraput and Sonepur district.
Besides, one recovery was reported from the State Pool.
Notably, the State witnessed death of a Covid 19-infected person during the last 24 hours and, thus, the number of Covid deaths increased to 1,912.
Similarly, the State’s Covid positive tally rose to 3,36,397 after 75 new positive cases were detected in the last 24 hours. Out of 75 new cases, 46 were detected from among quarantined persons and 29 detected as local contacts.
