Bhubaneswar, Apr 16: As many as 952 Covid 19 patients recovered in Odisha on Friday, taking the number of persons cured of the virus in the State to 3,43,522, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department.
According to the data furnished by the department in its Twitter account, the highest 176 patients recovered in Nuapada district, followed by 147 in Sundargarh, 120 in Khordha, 48 in Bargarh, 46 each in Cuttack and Puri, 44 in Sambalpur, 38 in Kalahandi, 30in Anugul, 29 in Mayurbhanjl, 28 in Jharsuguda, 27 in Bolangir, 23 in Keonjhar, 20 in Nabarangpur, 15 each in Ganjam, Jajpur and Rayagada, 10 in Bhadrak, eight in Koraput, Nayagarh and Sonepur, six in Baleswar, four each in Dhenkanal and Kandhamal, three each in Boudh and Deogarh, two each in Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara.
Besides, 27 recoveries were reported from the State Pool.
Notably, the State witnessed deaths of three persons due to Covid 19 infection during the last 24 hours and, thus, the number of Covid deaths rose to 1,938.
However, the State’s Covid positive tally rose to 3,61,450 after 3,108 new positive cases were detected in the last 24 hours. Out of 3,108 new cases, 1,806 were detected from among quarantined persons and 1,302 detected as local contacts.
