The number of persons died due to Covid-19 in Odisha rose to 767 on Friday morning with 15 more persons succumbing to the virus during the last 24 hours, said Health and Family Welfare Department.
The deaths were reported from nine districts. “Regret to inform of the demise of fifteen Covid positive patients while under treatment in hospitals,” tweeted the department.
The deceased included 11 males and four females. While four patients died in Khurda district, three succumbed to the disease in Puri, two in Mayurbhanj and one each died in Angul, Bolangir, Cuttack, Kandhamal, Kendrapada and Rayagada district.
The deceased are: 60-year-old male of Angul district, 67-year-old male of Bolangir was also suffering from diabetes & hypertension, 70-year-old male of Bhubaneswar (Khurda district) was also suffering from diabetes & hypertension, 76-year-old male of Bhubaneswar was also suffering from diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease & hypothyroidism, 60-year-old male of Bhubaneswar was also suffering from chronic kidney disease, 63-year-old male of Bhubaneswar, 72-year-old female of Cuttack district was also suffering from diabetes & chronic kidney disease, 50-year-old male of Kandhamal district was also suffering from diabetes & hypertension, 81-year-old male of Kendrapada district, 45-year-old female of Mayurbhanj district, 59-year-old male of Mayurbhanj district, 60-year-old female of Puri district was also suffering from diabetes, 84-year-old male of Puri district was also suffering from hypertension & ischemic heart disease, 60-year-old male of Puri district and a 56-year-old female of Rayagada district.
