Abhishek, an engineer by profession, fought post-Covid complications at a hospital in Kolkata for the last three months but could not defeat it.
He had got a serious infection in his lungs after getting Covid-infected in May. He was airlifted to Kolkata for ECMO treatment on June 9. He got an infection a few days after his marriage. On the request of his newlywed wife, people from different walks of life extended financial support as per their capacity for his treatment. Costly ECMO machine was not available in Odisha then.
According to family sources, Abhishek breathed his last at 10.45 pm yesterday.
