The CB will tally the polygraph reports with the statements of the accused trio recorded earlier and the investigation will progress on the findings, informed Crime Branch ADG Sanjeev Panda.
Notably, the three accused in the case, late Mohapatra’s wife Bidya Bharati, Paralakhemundi DFO Sangram Keshari Behera and his cook Manmath Kumba were put to ‘lie detector’ as their statements to police and CB didn’t match.
While Bidya Bharati underwent polygraph test on September 20, the accused DFO and his cook faced the test on September 18.
Worth mentioning, the ACF was rescued from his official residence in Paralakhemundi with critical burn injuries on July 12. He died under treatment at a private hospital in Cuttack.
Late ACF’s family has alleged Paralakhemundi DFO, Bidya Bharati and the cook to be the conspirer of his murder. They also claim that the DFO and Bidyabharati were having an illicit love affair which is the cause of committing the crime.
