Bhubaneswar, Apr 30: Disturbed at Covid-infected persons getting baffled and running to hospitals, Additional Chief Secretary (Health) PK Mohpatra on Friday appealed to such people not to go to medicals unnecessarily and help serious patients recover from the virus.
“It is being seen that people testing positive are getting panicked and running to hospitals. For this, serious patients are facing troubles in getting proper treatment. Even, serious patients can die for this,” apprehended Mohapatra at a Press meet here.
He called upon Covid positive people to remain in isolation at home and get treatment there so that serious patients can get more care at hospitals and recover from the virus fully.
The ACS too informed that the State has 43,000 Remedisivir now and more of this drug would be coming in coming days. He said there will be no vaccination on May 1 and 2 in view of weekend shutdown. The vaccination centres will be sanitized on these two days, he said.
