“People are not following Covid norms. We all have to remain conscious. We all have to use face mark, sanitize hands frequently and maintain social distancing. We must not allow the virus to remain live in human community,” said Dr Mohanty, a noted physician.
He said experts have contended that the infection rate will have a declining trend from May. He said nothing can be said on the death rate due to Covid. The infection rate in the second wave is higher than that of the first wave. The death rate may be less,” he said.
Dr Mohanty informed that Odisha has adequate quantities of Favipiravir and Remdesvir medicines, which are used in treatment of serious Covid patients.
