Following the order, restrictions on gathering of devotees will remain in place on the temple premise from 7am on March 10 to 7 am March 12, informed Bhadrak Collector Dr Gyana Das.
However, all rituals of Lord Akhandalamani for Jagara Jatra will be held as usual without any deviation or restriction. The servitors at the temple will perform all rituals sans devotees with strict adherence to Covid guidelines.
They would be required to wear mask and maintain social distancing during the celebration.
As per the fixed schedule, the Mahadeepa will be taken atop the Akhandalamani at 4.30 am on the Jagara day this year.
In a similar step to keep Covid-19 at bay Cuttack district administration has imposed Prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC at Lord Dhabaleswar temple on March 11 and 12.
