All Class IX, XI students can sit for board exams

Bhubaneswar, Feb 9: All Odia medium students, who were studying in Class IX in 2019-20 academic year, will be eligible to appear for the Annual High School Certificate (HSC) Examination to be held in May 2021 by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE).

An official statement issued from the Chief Minister’s office informed this.

All classes had been suspended since March 2021 in view of Covid Pandemic. As a result students studying in Class IX and XI could not sit for promotion tests and get classroom teaching for Class X and XII. To help them prepare for the HSC and CHSE board exams, schools have been reopened since January 2021. They all will appear board examinations to be held in May 2021, said the release.
