Bhubaneswar, Feb 17: Unlike its earlier two sessions, the 16th Odisha Legislative Assembly (OLA) will conduct Question Hour and Zero Hour on all business days during the Budget Session beginning tomorrow.
A decision to this effect was taken at an all-party meeting held in the Assembly premises here on Wednesday. Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro chaired the meeting.
While both starred and unstarred questions will be there, discussions on starred question will be held for one hour. Members can put subject-related additional questions during discussions and those will be answered by concerned Ministers.
“It was decided that Adjournment Motions would be discussed for one and a half hours instead of one hour held in the last two sessions. While morning sitting will be held from 10.30 pm to 1.30 pm, the afternoon sitting will be from 3 PM to 5PM. Earlier, the afternoon sitting was held from 3 pm to 5 pm,” said the Speaker.
On special days, the House will continue to run till 7 pm, he said.
