Nayagarh, Feb 17: The efficacy of investigation into the abduction and murder of five-year-old girl Paree of Nayagarh has reportedly been questioned again by Paree’s father Ashok Sahoo as he alleged that three witnesses named in the charge-sheet are associates of Babuli Nayak, whom he and his family members name as the main accused.
“Duryodhan Pradhan and Sanatan Nayak had first told us that our daughter was not in the village and advised us to search for her at Balugaon. They told us that Paree had gone with maternal grandfather to Balugaon. This was a conspiracy hatched by Babuli Nayak. He had kept our daughter in the village and sent us to Balaugaon. In that night, they killed her and traded her organs,” alleged Sahoo.
He said, apart from Duryodhan, Charan Pradhan, a tractor driver of Babuli Nayak and Khadal Pradhan, a housekeeper of Nayak, have been take as witnesses in the case. Both had earlier told us that they didn’t know about the incident.
“It is a conspiracy hatched to cover up the truth and protect real culprits,” alleged Sahoo.
