According to information, the youth, who fell seriously ill, was in need of immediate medical treatment. The anxious family members dialled 108 helpline number for ambulance services. Though the emergency vehicle tried to reach the village and carry the patient to the nearby hospital, it could not reach the spot due to the lack of road connectivity.
Later, the patent’s relatives and some villagers along with ambulance workers carried him on a. They had to cross a long muddy road and cross a swollen river.
“More than 30 families of the village depend on a bamboo bridge to cross the river to reach the hospital. There is no road connectivity to our village. We have approached the local sarpanch and other officials for construction of bridge and road, but in vain,” said a local resident.
