Bhadrak, Jul 16: A man and his daughter were attacked gravely by members of their rival family over unloading of sand and chips on the road at Elakha village under the Bhadrak Town police station yesterday evening.
According to information, a village was reconstructed recently. For some reason, movement of loaded tractors and other vehicles was restricted. A board with the warning message has also been put up on the roadside. However, a village youth unloaded a tractor trip of concrete on the road recently. When opposed by an elderly villager, concerned family members attacked him severely. As his daughter came to his rescue, she was also not spared.
They two injured persons are now undergoing treatment at the Bhadrak District Headquarter Hospital.
Acting on the complaint, police have detained three persons and are interrogating them.
