Bhubaneswar, Feb 20: As many as seven people tested positive for Covid-19 and eight people recovered from the infection in Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) area of Odisha during the last 24 hours, informed the BMC on Saturday.
Today’s figure takes Covid 19 infection trend in the capital city a bit upward as it had been witnessing one to three-four cases for about a fortnight now.
According to the data furnished by the BMC, one of seven new cases was detected from among the quarantined people, the rest six were found as local contact cases.
With this, the Covid-19 tally of the BMC area has increased to 31,950, out of which 248 people succumbed to the virus while as many as 31,600 people have recovered, so far.
The active cases of the city currently stand at 81, informed the BMC.
