According to data shared by the BMC, all the 191 fresh cases were reported from local contacts.
With this, the Covid-19 tally of the BMC area has increased to 1,61,939.
The civic body also said that as many as 239 people of the city have been recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours.
To date, a total of 1,59,433 Covid-19 patients of the BMC area have been cured while 1,193 people succumbed to the virus.
Currently, there are 1,292 active cases in the State Capital, said the BMC.
