Bhubaneswar, Apr 3 : As many as 71 new Covid-19 positive cases have been reported from Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) area in Odisha in the last 24 hours, informed the BMC on Saturday.
Out of the fresh 71 Covid-19 cases in the State Capital, 15 cases have been detected from quarantined people, while 56 people have been infected with the virus from local contact cases.
With this, the Covid-19 tally of the BMC area has increased to 32,618.
The civic body also said that as many as 12 people of the city have been recovered from Covid-19 in the past 24 hours.
So far, a total of 31,945 Covid-19 patients of the BMC area have been cured while 250 people succumbed to the virus.
The active cases of the city currently stand at 402, said the BMC.
