Bhubaneswar, Mar 22: The capital city of Bhubaneswar witnessed 51 Covid positive cases during the last 24 hours; the highest ever rise if compared to daily cases reported during the last five-six weeks. The city had witnessed 50 cases yesterday.
According to the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), six new cases were detected from among quarantined people and the rest 46 cases found as local contacts.
The BMC also informed that as many as 11 patients recovered from the Corona infection in the past 24 hours.
With this, the Covid-19 tally of the BMC area increased to 32,364, out of which 250 people have succumbed to the virus while as many as 31, 874 people have recovered from the infection.
The number of active cases of the city stood at 219 on Sunday.
